Is Your Lifestyle Killing You??

Hey guys,

I had another great day training clients, but one in particular stood out. She doesnt mind me blogging about her and I want to share with others her story. She had gastric bypass surgery and lost over 300lbs, she was exercising and eating the right kinds of food. She opted for the surgery because she suffered a heart attack due to her diet and weight.

But as we all do, she got comfortable. Too comfortable. She consequently gained back all the weight. It is proof that not even surgery can keep one slim. She is now really struggling to do anything other than exist in the prison which is her body.

She has joint pain and struggles with self-loathing and low self-esteem. I am going to go the extra mile for her and she knows it. I am going into her home and we are going to literally clean out her cupboards. It is going to be a total 180, but she will be better off for it.

We are going to put her on a diet very heavy in vegetable, fruit and lean meats and healthy fats. She is going to walk 5-10 minutes a day, because that is all she can handle, and work our way up to 60 minutes.

I just want all of us to remember to not take our health for granted. The weight just comes on 5-10 pounds a year for most, maybe a little more for some. And in five short years you have put on 50 pounds or more.

Live your best life possible. Eat right and exercise daily and never take your health for granted. It shouldnt take a heart attack or diabetes to cause one to change, but sometimes that is the wake-up call we need. Love your family and be blessed!
